We recently exported a used caravan to Mr Phillips in New Zealand. Here’s what he had to say about the process:

1) Find a suitable caravan from our quality selection
Our website listings show photos and a walkthrough video of the actual caravan for sale (not library images) as well as a layout diagram to help you identify the caravan design. If you are unable to find your ideal model, email [email protected] with your requirements and we will check our extensive list of models due in.
2) Contact us with your chosen model
Contact [email protected] with details of the caravan you like, let us know if you require a Starter Pack or individual items as detailed below. If you need a motor mover (many of our used models already have them) or awning, then we will happily advise the best options and costs.

3) Caravan quotation
Now we know what you need you will receive a ‘Best Price’ quotation, typically the same day.
4) Shipping quotation
If you’re happy with the deal, then with your approval, we will pass your details to our approved shipping company who will contact you with details of the packing and shipping costs. Unlike many dealers, there is no margin added by us to the shipping costs and you are free to seek alternative quotes from other shippers if required.
5) Decision
Once you are happy to proceed we will process a £1000 deposit and set to work preparing the caravan through our workshop. Preparation includes a Full NCC Approved Service, interior clean, exterior clean and chassis wash. You will be emailed the service report and checklist upon completion, detailing all the works completed including carbon monoxide test, gas leak test, damp inspection and various other component checks.
Unlike many suppliers, there is NO CHARGE for the preparation of the caravan. Tyres on caravans over 5 years old will automatically be replaced FREE OF CHARGE.
6) Delivery to the dock
Once a shipping date is confirmed, we will require full payment prior to one of our experienced drivers delivering the caravan to the port. On arrival, a video of the caravan will be taken and a link emailed so you can be safe in the knowledge that your caravan has arrived safely.
The caravan is insured under our own policy whilst in our care, however, once delivered to the port, insurance becomes the responsibility of the shipping company. The shipping company will wrap the caravan to prevent any damage enroute taking special care with windows and external trims, before loading and fastening the caravan securely into a shipping container.
That’s it – sit back and relax while your caravan completes its journey! On arrival, the shipping company will manage any local customs clearance and assist with any duty and tax procedures if applicable. Depending on the regulations in the destination Country, modifications/testing of the gas/mains system may be required. As regulations change so frequently, we advise customers to seek advice on what is required in their Country.
